Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson is the busiest airport in the world. It is also the largest in the state of Georgia. How long will it last?
1 day: The terminals and concourses are empty and hollow, for the first time since the construction of the building. Lights go out, and the planes stop moving.
10 years: Paint is peeling and plants are growing all over the building. The planes have wasted away and are now aluminum wrecks. The ceiling of the international terminal has collapsed. Animals turn the area wild.
25 years: After enduring hot Georgia weather for two decades, the building finally comes down. All that's left are the Air Traffic Control tower and the runways.
90 years: The ATC tower collapses.
450 years: The runway's concrete has turned to dust and plants have infested the area. The area soon becomes flooded with rainwater and becomes a swamp for crocodiles and insects.
